Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office The Office, for which she received the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from the Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. This instilled in her a love for theatre.
She's a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. At the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) and her best friend in real life, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. The first year, it received more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first book, which chronicles the road she took starting in St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as a professional actress. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her closest friend, and her experience at The Office.
